Joe Hoppen of Joe Hoppen Motorsport, is the United States distributor for mtm products, passed away in 2008. We will miss him and all of his talent. He was the Porsche/Audi Motorsport Racing Manager in the 1970's. His team won many races around the United States. He also managed Audi Racing in the U.S. in the 1980's with many victories. After living in the U.S. for so many years, he made a comment that I would like to share with you about our country, that I will never forget. It's still true today.

I remember having a face to face conversation with Mr. Hoppen, some how our conversation turned to the United States. He told me "the trouble with you Americans, is that you have a short memory! He said, after 6 months you forget what has happened, which makes you feel, everthing is better". He said being German, we never forget what has happened!

I thought this was a striking comment about us American's. His insight was paramount.
